Knowledge: Organic certified natural cosmetics, certified natural cosmetics or conventional natural cosmetics for babies & children?
We parents only want the best baby care, pregnancy care, the best pregnancy oil that is well absorbed by the skin and cares for the skin and is not absorbed by the T-shirts?
When we decided on the quality of the raw materials, we asked ourselves the question: should we absolutely buy raw materials of certified organic quality?
The answer was clear. YES! And definitely.
It is comparable to organic fruits and vegetables. For example, they simply taste sweeter or crunchier and fresher. You can imagine it in a similar way with organically certified natural cosmetics.
Because NATURALSOPHY is different and we don't want to create any me-too products either, because we have a baby at home with neurodermatitis (now a "big" child), which has made the condition of the baby's skin so much worse through the use of commercially available baby care products and we got a prescription for cortisone ointment from the pediatrician.
But what does certified organic natural cosmetics mean compared to certified natural cosmetics or conventional natural cosmetics?
Generally speaking, organic certified natural cosmetics are made by meeting certain criteria and standards for organically growing ingredients and using natural ingredients. Our products contain no synthetic fragrances, parabens, sulfates or other harmful chemicals. Organic certified natural cosmetics often use natural ingredients that come from controlled organic cultivation. The products are environmentally friendly and are often certified by independent organizations.
Certified natural cosmetics are also subject to certain standards and criteria to ensure the use of natural ingredients and the absence of harmful chemicals. However, the requirements and standards for certification may not be as strict as organic certification.
On the other hand, conventional natural cosmetics include products that are marketed as natural cosmetics but are not necessarily certified. These products may contain natural ingredients, but they may also contain synthetic chemicals, fragrances, or other potentially harmful ingredients. Conventional natural cosmetics may not meet the strict criteria and standards that apply to certified organic or certified natural cosmetics.
Why should you prefer organic certified natural cosmetics to "organic cosmetics"?
The main difference between organically certified natural cosmetics and organic natural cosmetics without certification lies in the verification and confirmation of compliance with standards and guidelines. Our organically certified natural cosmetics are checked by the recognized certification body NCS and provided with an "NCS for Organic Vegan Quality" seal, which confirms compliance with standards and guidelines. These standards include growing ingredients organically, using natural ingredients and not using harmful chemicals. Organic certified natural cosmetics are regularly checked for compliance to ensure they continue to meet standards.
On the other hand, organic natural cosmetics without certification refers to products that are advertised as organic natural cosmetics but do not have official certification from a recognized certification body. These products may also contain natural ingredients and may meet certain standards. However, they lack independent verification and endorsement by a certification body to ensure their quality and compliance with standards.
During development, we had a case with a great raw material that had an anti-inflammatory and wound-healing effect. It went back and forth with the communication with the raw material supplier and the certification body. Because the supplier could not prove that the raw material is really organic. In the end we couldn't take the raw material as it was even made synthetically. This is just one example of many that shows how important organic certification is. This offers consumers additional security and transparency with regard to the quality and manufacture of natural cosmetic products.
